  • Testing and monitoring the atmosphere
  1. Safe Entry and Work Procedures:
  • Entry and exit procedures

  1. Concluding Operations:
  • Exiting the confined space safely

    This unit applies to those working in operational roles across various industries, including construction, mining, and utilities.

    The total duration of Enter and Work in Confined Spaces is a comprehensive one day (8 hours) of face-to-face training including both theory and practical components.

    Enter and Work in Confined Spaces is delivered face to face, blended or on-site by experienced trainers with relevant industry experience either at of our training centres located in:

    No formal pre-requisites required. However, participants should have basic literacy and numeracy skills.

    Participants should possess basic language, literacy, and numeracy skills to ensure they can comprehend training materials and instructions effectively.

    Participants will be assessed through:

      • Theory Assessment: Multiple-choice and short answer questions covering the key concepts of the course.
      • Practical Assessment: Demonstration of skills including hazard identification, use of PPE, and emergency response.

    Upon successful completion of the course and assessments, participants will receive a Statement of Attainment for RIIWHS202E: Enter and Work in Confined Spaces.
