This course provides participants with the skills and knowledge required to effectively operate as part of an emergency control organization (ECO) during an emergency situation within the workplace. Participants will learn the roles and responsibilities of an ECO member, emergency response procedures, and how to effectively communicate and coordinate during an emergency.

What are the entry conditions?
No formal pre-requisites required. However, participants should have basic literacy and numeracy skills.
Language, Literacy & Numeracy (LLN)
Participants should possess basic language, literacy, and numeracy skills to ensure they can comprehend training materials and instructions effectively.
Assessment
Participants will be assessed through:

- Written assessments to test knowledge of legislative requirements, procedures, and communication protocols.
- Practical assessments based on simulated emergency scenarios to demonstrate response skills and coordination abilities.
- Observation of participant’s performance during role-playing exercises and practical drills.
Certification/Training Record
Upon successful completion of the course and assessment requirements, participants will receive a Statement of Attainment for the unit of competency PUAFER005 – Operate as part of an emergency control organisation.
